چکیده

Filamentous actin or F-actin is a major component of stress fibers and involved in cellular architecture. Its dynamic rearrangement supports not only cellular morphology but also intracellular signal transduction that regulate cell-cell or cell-extracellular matrix interactions, cell motility, and proliferation. Several lines of evidence demonstrate that, in several organisms, oocyte cortical cytoskeleton involving F-actin network undergoes a dynamic rearrangement during meiosis/oocyte maturation and that this is often involving phosphorylation of actin and/or actin-interacting proteins (e.g. ADF/coffilin, see below) catalyzed by PKC (in Tubifex, Xenopus) (Capco et al. 1992; Shimizu 1997). In Drosophila, PKC phosphorylation of a tumor suppressor protein-homolog named Lgl (lethal (2) giant larvae) is responsible for actin-dependent oocyte polarity formation (Tian and Deng 2008). In mammalian oocytes (rat), F-actin has been implicated in tyrosine kinase-dependent

P-109: Using SMAD2/3 Inhibitor to Investigate the Importance of GDF9 Signaling on Ovine Cumulus Expansion and Subsequent Embryonic Development

Background: Oocyte in vitro maturation success rate is still low in compareision to oocyte in vivo maturation. Thus prediction and improvement of oocyte competency are two critical issues in assisted reproductive technology. New insights into oocyte-cumulus cell regulatory loop may assist our optimization of in vitro maturation technique. Maturation and developmental competency of cumulus oocyt...

Background: Cryobiology and in vitro maturation of oocytes are very important tools of reproductive technology. Oocyte plays an important role in fertility. The objective of this research is comparison study the effect of invitro maturation and IVF fertilization of cryopreserved oocyte with fresh oocyte in mice. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, after superovulation was performed oocytes...

Eph and NMDA receptors control Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II activation during C. elegans oocyte meiotic maturation.

Fertilization in the female reproductive tract depends on intercellular signaling mechanisms that coordinate sperm presence with oocyte meiotic progression. To achieve this coordination in Caenorhabditis elegans, sperm release an extracellular signal, the major sperm protein (MSP), to induce oocyte meiotic maturation and ovulation. MSP binds to multiple receptors, including the VAB-1 Eph recept...

O-9: The Central Role of Mitochondrial Function in Quality of Human Oocyte

Background: Mitochondria are the most aboudent and small essential organelles found in eukaryotic cells. These are semiautonomous organelles for the production of cellular ATP that through its various biochemical pathways. The primary pathway for ATP production is OXPHOS via the electron transfer chain (ETC) which is encoded by nuclear DNA and mtdna genomes. Mitochondria consist of double stran...
